Acupuncture



Human body is a complex electrical circuit, circulating aspecialised biological energy called Qi(chi). Acpuncture enforces to link and to integrate Qi through energy pathways throughout the body so that your body and mind can balance itself. If you are exposed to physical tiredness, emotional stress, harsh weather or long term unhealthy life style, the balance of Qi will be disrupted, resulting diseases.
 

You should expect when you visit us...
At your first visit, we will ask all aspects of your health and family history during consultation.We may ask some very private questions as well. We will also check your tongue and pulse as diagnostic methods. Your treatment plan will be customised at the end of consultation specifically for you. The treatment may come along with different methods, such as Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxabustion, external herbal application and electrical stimulation. The first treatment with consultation will take about 1hour or a little over 1 hour.
 
Acupuncture feel like.....
Acupuncture needles are hair-thin disposable single use, and you will feel no pain or very minimal pain from the needles. After the needle is inserted, you may notice a sensation of tingling, heaviness or the movement of energy along the meridians. We call this sensation as "Receiving Qi (De Qi)" and when you feel any of those sensations, the result from Acupuncture is usually more effective.
 
During Treatment ...
You will be leaved for about 20 min to 40min in the room with needles in. During this time, we will check every 10min in case you may feel discomfort or you may need anything during treatment. Combination of different types of treatment methods may be applied depends on your conditions, such as Cupping, Gua sha, Moxabustion or Electrical stimulation.
 
After Acupuncture...
After needles removed, you will wake up feeling relaxed and relieved pain. However, depending on your condition, you may feel dizziness or more pain after treatment for one day, but dont need to worry, we will provide detail after-care!
The number and frequency of treatments will be discussed with you and we will provide diet and lifestyle advice to increase in the effectiveness. Chinese Herbal treatment will be required depends on your condition.
